Save gas with an engine tune up. By keeping your car in tip top shape, you keep it operating as efficiently as possible. This translates to as much miles per gallon as your car is capable of.
So what is an engine tune up? In the old days, it meant a lot. Today with computers adjusting the ignition, very little is needed for timing, and points. A regular tune up usually involves replacing worn spark plugs, air filter, maybe spark plug wires. That's it. Everything else seems to be fully automatically controlled for most efficient fuel economy, and clean air.
Another positive side effect of an tuned engine running very well, less needed maintenance. Since the engine is running the best it can, the least amount of stress is placed on it, for the same driving pattern compared to an unturned engine. Less stress can equal less breakdowns and failures. So save money not only on gas, with an engine tune up, but save on repair costs over time. So either pay now for a smooth running tuned engine, or pay big time, with higher fuel costs, and more frequent repairs. Also, if you damage an engine enough, your next purchase might be for a new car. So over time, the increased fuel costs, repairs, and the increased frequency in having to purchase cars, might very well add up and prevent you accumulating the wealth you truly want. ;)
So, save gas, save repair costs, save your car, with an engine tune up today! |
